Job summary

SEPHORA UK is seeking an experienced New Stores & Construction Project Manager to lead end-to-end store development delivery across the UK. This hands-on role covers site identification, design coordination, construction, handover and successful store openings.

The ideal candidate has delivered multi-site retail construction programs, manages contractors and stakeholders, and ensures projects are on time, within budget and compliant with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering retail construction, fit-out, refurbishment or new store openings.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects within a multi-site retail environment.
• Strong understanding of UK construction processes, contractor management and project governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of new store openings and major refurbishments across Sephora UK's growing retail portfolio.
• Manage projects from feasibility and design through to construction, handover and store opening.
• Oversee external consultants, architects, contractors and shopfitting partners throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage construction programmes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on budget and against key milestones.
• Own project budgets, capex spend, forecasting and cost control activities.
• Coordinate landlord approvals, planning submissions, Building Control requirements and statutory compliance.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, quality standards and Health & Safety compliance.
• Manage contractor performance, risk registers and issue resolution throughout project delivery.
• Collaborate with internal Property, Retail Operations, VM, IT, Procurement and Finance teams to ensure store readiness.
• Lead project handovers, snagging activities and final store opening readiness reviews.
• Drive value engineering opportunities and continuous improvement across project delivery processes.
