Job summary

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience as a Registered Manager, General Manager or Home Manager within a care home setting.
• Commissioning experience or a proven track record of increasing occupancy and improving service performance.
• Demonstrates strong leadership skills with the ability to develop high-performing teams.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and business performance.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confident engaging with residents, families, colleagues and external partners.
• Resilient, adaptable and capable of thriving in a commissioning environment.
• Committed to delivering outstanding resident experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead successful commissioning, launch and performance of the home, delivering outstanding care and resident experiences.
• Recruit, develop and inspire a high-performing team, creating a positive and supportive culture.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and local stakeholders to drive reputation and occupancy.
• Take ownership of financial, operational and regulatory performance, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and best practice across all areas of the home.
• Work closely with Avery's support teams to establish the home as a leading care community.
• Lead the home beyond commissioning, ensuring growth, operational excellence and exceptional resident experiences as the service matures.
