Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking an experienced Commissioning General Manager to lead the opening and ongoing operation of a new care home in the UK. You will shape culture, recruit and develop a high-performing team, and build strong relationships with residents, families and local partners from day one.

You’ll own financial, operational and regulatory performance while driving continuous improvement and best practice.

Qualifications

• Have commissioning experience or a proven track record of increasing occupancy and improving service performance.
• Hold a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience as a Registered Manager, General Manager or Home Manager within a care home.
• Strong leadership with ability to build high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful commissioning, launch and performance of the home, delivering outstanding care and resident experiences.
• Recruit, develop and inspire a high-performing team, creating a positive and supportive culture.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and local stakeholders to drive reputation and occupancy.
• Take ownership of financial, operational and regulatory performance, ensuring compliance and quality standards are met.
• Drive continuous improvement and best practice across all areas of the home.
• Work closely with Avery's support teams to establish the home as a leading care community.
• Lead the home beyond commissioning, ensuring continued growth, operational excellence and the delivery of exceptional resident experiences as the service matures.
• Be a confident, experienced care home leader excited to open and grow a new service.
• This role will require a DBS disclosure check and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

• We\'re looking for an experienced care home leader who is excited by the opportunity to open and grow a new service., Have experience as a Registered Manager, General Manager or Home Manager within a care home setting.
• Have commissioning experience or a proven track record of significantly increasing occupancy and improving service performance.

• Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to develop high-performing teams.
