About the role

The Idox Geospatial Division is a collection of four unique geospatial businesses rolled into a single geospatial entity and strategy. With a customer base that spans public sector and commercial markets, the reach is extensive. The YoY Revenue growth is impressive and backed with significant investment in people and projects, with a 3-year strategy to accelerate and build the largest Geospatial services business in the UK.

The role of New Business Sales Executive is a vital addition to the Sales team within the Geospatial Division, reporting directly to the Head of Sales. The position is home-based but requires attendance at quarterly kick-off meetings, office-based training, and occasional customer meetings, exhibitions, conferences, and events.

The successful candidate will operate across all sectors, identifying new business opportunities within our extensive geospatial product portfolio. Responsibilities include building relationships with target accounts, converting sales directly or collaborating with sector-specific sales leads, and leveraging our geospatial data platform, licensing, insights, engineering, DaaS integration, SaaS applications, and professional services.

Applicants should consider themselves natural sales hunters who enjoy the pursuit of new business.

Key responsibilities:
  • Utilize existing 'whitespace' reports to identify replicable sales opportunities based on current client data and case studies
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline to meet growth targets
  • Provide regular activity and pipeline reports to the Head of Sales
  • Create customer presentations, proposals, and quotations
  • Maintain diligent records in Salesforce for activity tracking and future planning
  • Develop expertise in our product portfolio to serve as a trusted advisor to clients
  • Collaborate with Business Development Managers and Customer Operations for optimal client engagement
  • Participate in in-house sales training and meetings
  • Report weekly or as required on sales outcomes and activities
Candidate requirements:
  • 1-2 years of sales experience in Data/DaaS or SaaS within a B2B environment
  • Proven success in building and converting sales opportunities
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Articulate phone manner with strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of sales and customer lifecycle processes and business fundamentals
  • Experience with Salesforce or Hubspot
  • Social media proficiency
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and deadlines in an agile environment
  • Collaborative team player with reliability and punctuality
