Qualifications

• Track record of winning new business by selling data, research or information services to financial institutions.
• Clear grasp of how investment firms evaluate and buy data.
• Experience from an expert network, alternative data provider or private markets data business is welcome.
• Hunger, curiosity and a genuine drive to earn on commission.
• Sharp commercial thinking and the confidence to hold credible conversations with sophisticated investors.

Responsibilities

• Win new institutional clients across asset management, hedge funds and banks
• Sell across a multi-product data portfolio rather than a single dataset
• Find your way through complex buying structures, from portfolio managers and analysts to data and procurement teams
• Run full sales cycles, from first conversation through trials to signature, typically around three months and longer for systematic evaluations
• Work alongside research, data science and customer success and sales development colleagues to build and close opportunities
• Own a new business target, with tiered commission that rises as you push past it
