New Business Development Director - Global Events Agency

Location: Surrey / Hybrid

Superb opportunity for a new business Director to join a truly global agency delivering cutting-edge experiences, events, and exhibitions for high-profile clients!

The agency

This full-service events and communications agency works with well-known global brands, mainly in healthcare and pharma, to deliver a range of events and experiences. They organize large-scale congresses for thousands and standalone meetings for 500 delegates, with complex logistics in exciting destinations worldwide. Growing rapidly, they are hiring a New Business Development Director to support their expansion.

The role

This highly autonomous yet collaborative role involves identifying and nurturing new business opportunities to increase revenue and enhance the agency's global presence. Responsibilities include lead generation, prospecting, qualifying opportunities, presenting credentials, responding to RFPs, leading pitches, and securing contracts. The role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, preparing winning pitch responses, and some travel to events to engage new contacts.

About you

Proven experience in new business development within the events, exhibitions, or production industry is essential. Knowledge of pharmaceutical or Life Sciences events/communications sectors is advantageous but not mandatory. Experience managing the full sales cycle, networking at industry events, and securing new business for an agency are critical.
