The agency
This full-service events and communications agency works with well-known global brands, predominantly in healthcare and pharma sectors, to deliver a range of events and experiences. From large-scale congresses for thousands to standalone meetings for 500 delegates, with logistically complex elements, they operate worldwide in fantastic destinations. As they expand, they are hiring a New Business Development Director to support their growth strategy.
The role
This highly autonomous yet collaborative role involves identifying and nurturing new business opportunities to drive revenue and enhance the agency's global brand presence. Responsibilities include lead generation, prospecting, qualifying opportunities, presenting credentials, responding to RFPs, leading pitch processes, and securing contracts. The role requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, preparing winning pitch responses, and occasional travel to events to engage new contacts.
About you
Proven experience in new business development within the events, exhibitions, and production industry is essential. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical or Life Sciences events/communications sector is a plus but not mandatory. Experience managing the full sales cycle, networking at industry events, and securing new agency business is required.
