About the Role:
This role is working primarily in the DACH market and requires FLUENT GERMAN AND ENGLISH.
Successful candidates will have demonstrated ambition and drive; be target-oriented, with a high-energy approach to creating and successfully closing opportunities.
A New Business Account Executive should be capable of full lifecycle consultative sales from initial prospecting call through to closing the deal. You will be able to consult with clients to thoroughly understand their PR and communications objectives and demonstrate how the Onclusive portfolio of services can help them meet their business goals. Their main objective is to engage and sell Onclusive services to the PR & Communications buyer in your target market.
Your Responsibilities:
- Identify and generate new opportunities through various channels, targeting net-new logos.
- Consistently meet and exceed monthly sales targets by building and maintaining a full pipeline of new business opportunities from a designated territory/sectors.
- Have in-depth knowledge and the ability to effectively communicate the value proposition and benefits of the Onclusive portfolio of services (traditional and social media monitoring, insight, media database & distribution, Forward Planner, and Onclusive Social) to provide effective solutions for prospective clients.
- Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with prospective PR & Communications clients during the sales process, maintaining regular, pertinent, and helpful contact throughout the process to close.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to prospective clients on related subjects such as copyright, best practices, industry expertise, etc.
- Utilize core sales techniques where appropriate, e.g., lead generation, sales presentations to senior PR Directors, product demonstrations, managing trial processes, proposal writing, negotiation, and closing business.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, e.g., Onclusive marketing team to follow up on leads generated through campaigns, events, and other initiatives, or Onclusive Solutions Consultants.
- Lead a thoughtful and comprehensive handover of new clients to colleagues in the Expansion and Customer Success teams, ensuring a superior customer experience.
- Manage and update the sales pipeline, keeping accurate records of customer interactions, progress, and deal status in the CRM system (Salesforce).
- Provide domain-specific expertise to support your colleagues in selling your specific offering to the marketing buyer in your target accounts.
Who You Are:
- Fluent in English and German.
- 2-5 years of experience in managing revenue growth through solutions sales and experience in new business development.
- Passion, self-motivation, tenacity, and financially driven characteristics that suit this role.
- Ability to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the sales cycle and create a pipeline of profitable business, understanding relevant metrics and conversion rates to ensure consistent meeting and exceeding of targets.
- Good negotiation skills and the ability to think on your feet is paramount for this role.
- A hard-working attitude, self-starter, and a “can-do” mindset.
- High level of interpersonal, influencing, and teamwork skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, capable of working effectively across functions.
