Job summary

Royal Surrey County Hospital is seeking a Receptionist / Administration Assistant to join the Neurophysiology team in Guildford. You will act as the first point of contact at the Neurophysiology Reception, greeting patients, checking in, and supporting both reception and administrative tasks within the Clinical Measurements and Neurophysiology Services.

The role involves booking specialist diagnostic investigations, supported by training and induction.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential.
• Previous administrative experience is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional reception service for Neurophysiology and Pacing Teams.
• Support patient flow by assisting with check in and booking appointments.
• Maintain accurate patient administration on Surrey Safe Care (Cerner).
• Ensure notes are filed for coding and that patient case notes are prepared promptly.
• Arrange patient appointments and transport as required by the Neurophysiology team.
• Carry out clerical duties and respond to enquiries from patients and staff.
