Job summary

Swansea Bay University Health Board is recruiting a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist for the Acute Medical Physiotherapy Team. Based at Morriston Hospital, you will lead specialist acute medical and neurological care, assess and discharge plan complex patients, and work with the MDT to optimise rehabilitation and patient flow.

You will provide supervision and guidance to physiotherapy staff, maintain up-to-date clinical knowledge, and contribute to service development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Physiotherapy and HCPC registration.
• Evidence of postgraduate education or equivalent clinical experience.
• Membership of CSP is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership to the physiotherapy team with high-quality, evidence-based care.
• Manage a complex caseload and collaborate with MDT for discharge planning and patient flow.
• Supervise, guide and appraise physiotherapy staff and students.
• Participate in respiratory on-call and 7-day working rota.
• Contribute to service development, quality improvement and innovation.
