Job summary

Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Senior Physiotherapist to join the acute therapy team on a 12-month fixed-term secondment. • Senior physiotherapist with potential development into Band 6
• Experience in acute therapy settings
• Exposure to respiratory care and on-call duties

Responsibilities

• Provide high-standard physiotherapy within acute inpatient rotations (Respiratory, Surgery, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Stroke, Acute Medicine, Elderly Medicine, Urgent Care & Frailty)
• Active participation in evening and weekend respiratory on-call service
• Manage a defined caseload and contribute to patient flow and discharge planning
• Support and supervise Band 5 therapists and mentor students during placements
