Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to work within the Community Neuro Rehabilitation Service (CNRS). The role involves collaboration with clinical Psychologists and a wide MDT to deliver neuro-rehabilitation for stroke and brain injury patients.

You will work under supervision, deliver clinical group work, and travel to patients’ homes, hospital and outpatient sites. Welsh language is desirable and both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged to apply.

Formación

• Experience of handling clinically sensitive conversations with patients/families or carers.
• Ability to plan own workload and programmes of work.
• Working knowledge of at least one recognised psychological therapeutic orientation.
• Experience liaising with health professionals and patients regarding psychological issues.

Responsabilidades

• Undertaking psychological assessments and interventions as part of the multi-professional team.
• Supporting qualified psychologists with research, service evaluation and audit.
• Supporting teaching and training within the team; other duties as delegated.
• Travel to patient homes and various clinical sites as required.
