Job summary

Inspire Neurocare in Worcester is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to support psychological and neuropsychological assessments and interventions for adults with acquired brain injuries and progressive neurological conditions.

You will work under the supervision of a Neuropsychologist and Clinical Lead, contributing to assessments, interventions and rehabilitation programmes within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience as an Assistant Psychologist or in a related setting.
• Understanding of neurological conditions and their impact on individuals.
• Experience working with cognitive or challenging behaviour.
• Knowledge or experience of psychological approaches used in individual or group settings.
• Ability to apply psychological theory within a neuropsychological and rehabilitation setting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate, professional and committed approach to supporting people to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities

• Support psychological and neuropsychological assessments and interventions for adults with acquired brain injuries and progressive neurological conditions.
• Work under supervision of a Neuropsychologist and Clinical Lead.
• Contribute to assessments, interventions and rehabilitation programmes for people with brain injuries, stroke, spinal cord injuries and other complex neurological conditions.
• Assist in understanding and managing cognitive and behavioural needs, completing risk assessments and developing guidelines and management plans.
• Communicate sensitive information with residents, families and colleagues, providing appropriate support.
