Job summary

Inspire Neurocare in the United Kingdom is seeking a motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our neuro-rehabilitation team. You will assess, diagnose, and treat adults with acquired neurological conditions, working within a multidisciplinary team to support communication, cognition, and swallowing.

The role involves delivering evidence-based treatment across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings, mentoring students or junior colleagues, and contributing to service development

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
• HCPC registration or eligibility.
• Experience with neuro-rehabilitation and dysphagia.
• Experience with AAC and communication devices.
• Experience with adults with neurological conditions.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice.
• Ability to work with families and carers.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage adults with communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders from neurological conditions.
• Develop and evaluate individualized, evidence-based treatment plans with service users and families.
• Deliver therapy across inpatient, outpatient, community, and home-visit settings as appropriate.
• Participate in goal setting, case discussions, and discharge planning with the MDT.
• Provide education and advice to families, carers, and professionals to support rehabilitation.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with standards.
• Contribute to service development, audits, and quality improvement.
• Supervise and mentor students, assistants, or junior colleagues as required.
• Ensure practice aligns with safeguarding policies and legislation.
