Job summary

Priory Elm Park in Ardleigh, near Colchester, Essex, is seeking an experienced Home Manager (CQC Registered Manager) to lead the service through its transition from hospital to specialist residential nursing care. You will shape governance, quality, and person-centred care, while building high-performing teams in a challenging neurorehabilitation environment.

You will oversee regulatory compliance with CQC standards, budgets and operational performance, and collaborate with the MDT to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience as Registered Manager or Home Manager in residential nursing or specialist care.
• Experience managing CQC-regulated services with regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Experience leading organisational change or service development.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to motivate teams.
• Financial and operational management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transition of the service from hospital to Specialist Residential Nursing Service.
• Provide visible, compassionate and effective leadership promoting dignity and continuous improvement.
• Ensure the home operates in full compliance with CQC regulations and health and safety requirements.
• Take responsibility for quality, governance, budgets and performance.
• Collaborate with the MDT to deliver person-centred care and rehabilitation goals.
• Oversee care planning, clinical documentation and nursing records for accuracy.
• Recruit, develop and retain a high-performing team through coaching and development.
• Drive service improvement to meet changing neurological care needs.
• Build relationships with residents, families, commissioners and external stakeholders.
