Job summary

Priory Elm Park in Ardleigh, near Colchester, Essex, seeks a dynamic Home Manager (NMC registered) to lead a 17-bed specialist residential nursing service transitioning from hospital care to neurorehabilitation. You will ensure high-quality, person-centred care, oversee governance, budgets and staffing, and work with the MDT to deliver safe, effective care during the transition.

This leadership role offers development opportunities, pension, PMI, and relocation support while helping residents

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration (RGN, RMN or RNLD).
• Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Home Manager in residential nursing or specialist care.
• Experience managing CQC-regulated services with knowledge of regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading organisational change or service development, including transitions.
• Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
• Financial and operational management experience.
• Passion for person-centred care for people with complex neurological needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the transition from hospital to Specialist Residential Nursing Service.
• Provide visible, compassionate leadership and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure CQC compliance and safe, high-quality care.
• Oversee quality, governance, budgets and performance.
• Collaborate with MDT to deliver person-centred care and rehabilitation goals.
• Develop and retain a high-performing team.
