Job summary

Brook View Neurological Centre in Worcester, West Midlands, is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to support psychological assessments and rehabilitation for adults with acquired brain injuries and progressive neurological conditions. You will work under a Neuropsychologist and Clinical Lead, contributing to assessments, interventions, risk assessments and care plans as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience as Assistant Psychologist or in a related setting.
• Understanding of neurological conditions and their impact.
• Experience with cognitive or challenging behaviour.
• Knowledge of psychological approaches used in individual or group settings.
• Ability to apply psychological theory within neurorehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Support psychological assessments and neuropsychological interventions for adults with brain injuries and progressive neurological conditions.
• Work under supervision of a Neuropsychologist and Clinical Lead, contributing to assessments and rehabilitation programmes.
• Contribute to development of risk assessments and guidelines for management plans.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support rehabilitation goals and communicate sensitive information to residents and families.
