Elysium Healthcare Limited is seeking a Charge Nurse at Lakefields Neurological Centre in Chigwell. You will oversee and support a nursing team delivering high-quality neurological and long-term care, while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and promoting best practices.

You’ll lead 50% clinical and 50% managerial duties, with strong focus on patient care, staff mentoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The role offers professional development within a supportive organisation.

Qualifications

• Must hold a relevant nursing qualification.
• NMC registration is required.
• Extensive neurological experience at Charge Nurse or Ward Sister level.
• Competent in tracheostomy, ventilator, PEG and catheter care.
• Proven leadership in a complex Neurological/Respiratory care environment.
• Positive, compassionate and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide high-quality care to people in a neurological setting, while supporting the team.
• Lead and coordinate nursing care and clinical services; delegate tasks to nurses in the unit and collaborate with other teams.
• Monitor service users’ conditions and respond to changes.
• Supervise team members and provide guidance and support.
• Coordinate with other teams and liaise between nursing staff and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a 50% clinical and 50% managerial balance; manage staff scheduling and resource allocation.
