Elysium Healthcare Limited is seeking a Charge Nurse at Lakefields Neurological Centre in Chigwell. You will oversee and support a nursing team delivering high-quality neurological and long-term care, while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and promoting best practices.

You’ll lead 50% clinical and 50% managerial duties, with strong focus on patient care, staff mentoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The role offers professional development within a supportive organisation.

• Must hold a relevant nursing qualification.
• NMC registration is required.
• Extensive neurological experience at Charge Nurse or Ward Sister level.
• Competent in tracheostomy, ventilator, PEG and catheter care.
• Proven leadership in a complex Neurological/Respiratory care environment.
• Positive, compassionate and team-oriented attitude.

What you will be doing

• With previous experience from the NHS or private care, you will oversee and provide high-quality care and support to people in aNeurologicalsetting, while supporting your team and colleagues and promote good teamwork.
• As a Charge Nurse, you’ll lead and coordinate the quality and management of nursing care and delivering of clinical services, ensuring the day-to-day operations of your unit is performing well. You’ll also;Delegate nursing tasks to Nurses working in the unit and coordinate with other teams
• Monitor service users’ conditions and respond to changes
• Supervise other members within the team's unit and provide guidance and support
• Make critical decisions regarding service user assignments, staff scheduling, and resource allocationBe liaison between nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, with effective communication and collaboration
• This role will include 50% clinical and 50% managerial reasonability.No two days will be the same, with plenty to keep you engaged and motivated, but also a good amount of routine.

• NMC registration
• Strong Neuro experience at Charge Nurse/Ward sister level.
• Tracheostomy, ventilator, PEG, catheter care competent practitioner
• Experience in leading a team within the complex Neurological/Respiratory care environment
• A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate
• A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice
• Relevant experience in a similar environment
• Proven track record of leadership skills

Location: Lakefields Neurological Centre, Lambourne Road, Chigwell, IG7 6HHLakefields Neurological Centre is a 22-bed service that delivers specialist 24-hour nursing and therapy services for people with complex long-term neurological conditions who require ongoing support and assistance to maximise their functional ability and improve their quality of life.The Centre specialises in neuro-rehabilitation, tracheostomy and ventilator care.Bedrooms are adapted to individual requirements, fitted with high dependency equipment including ceiling track hoists, wall mounted suction and oxygen equipment. There are also well-equipped therapy facilities, spacious lounge areas and wheelchair access to beautiful gardens.
