Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Anaesthetist with an interest in Neurosurgery Anaesthesia. The post covers Preston and Chorley sites, with responsibilities across the trauma and tertiary services in a busy department.

The role includes pre-op assessment, intraoperative anaesthesia, and on-call duties, within a 34-bed Critical Care Unit and a wide range of tertiary services.

Qualifikationen

• Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice.
• MBBS or equivalent not required to be UK trained.
• FRCA or equivalent essential for Neuroanaesthesia.
• CCT or equivalent (or within six months at interview).
• Meets GMC Clinical Supervisor requirements.
• Advanced Neuroanaesthesia as Specialist Interest Area.
• Higher Medical Degree (MD or MSc) preferred.
• Evidence of MDT collaboration and multi-disciplinary work.

Aufgaben

• Provide anaesthetic service across Preston and Chorley sites as required.
• Undertake pre-operative assessment and post-operative care.
• Deliver weekly theatre sessions, including flexible evening or rare weekend sessions.
• Participate in on-call rota for out-of-hours emergencies.
• Perform administrative tasks related to patient care.
• Maintain high professional standards and safety in the theatre.
• Continue education, development, and Royal College of Anaesthetists requirements.
