Qualifications

• To provide an anaesthetic service as a member of the Department of Anaesthesia.
• To undertake pre-operative assessment and post-operative management.
• To undertake weekly theatre sessions with flexible timing including evenings and occasional weekends.
• To participate in an on-call rota for out-of-hours emergencies.
• To undertake administrative duties involved with patient care.
• To promote professional standards and theatre safety.
• To maintain continuing education as required by the Royal College of Anaesthetists.

Responsibilities

• Provide anaesthetic care across Preston and Chorley sites as required by service demands.
• Undertake pre-operative assessment and post-operative follow-up as appropriate.
• Deliver weekly theatre sessions with flexibility for evenings or weekends by mutual agreement.
• Participate in an on-call rota for out-of-hours emergencies.
• Undertake administrative duties related to patient care and theatre operations.
• Promote high professional standards and health and safety in the theatre environment.
• Maintain continuing education and professional development to Royal College requirements.
