Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Preston is seeking a Consultant Anaesthetist with an interest in General Surgery and some vascular experience to join a dynamic team in a complex tertiary trauma centre. The role involves delivering anaesthetic services across Preston and Chorley sites.

We require commitment to high professional standards, with opportunities for flexible theatre sessions and an active on-call rota.

The role includes providing anaesthetic services across Preston and Chorley sites.

Responsabilidades

To provide an anaesthetic service as a member of the Department of Anaesthesia across Preston and Chorley sites.
To undertake pre-operative assessment of patients as appropriate, together with post-operative management and follow-up of patients in appropriate cases.
To undertake weekly theatre sessions as allocated, with some evenings or rare weekend sessions by mutual agreement, to maintain high service delivery.
To participate in an on call rota providing consultant cover for out of hours emergencies.
To undertake administrative duties involved with the care of patients.
To promote high professional standards of clinical care and health and safety of the theatre environment.
To maintain continuing education and professional development at least to the requirements of the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
