Experis are recruiting a Network & Systems Engineer in Watford to support a Cisco platform within a Microsoft landscape. The role focuses on hands-on network engineering with 3rd line support across servers and networks.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in network infrastructure, strong Cisco experience (CCNP level preferred), Windows Server/AD expertise, and Azure knowledge. On-site role with DBS check and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Around 5+ years' recent Network / Infrastructure Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on Cisco networking knowledge, ideally at CCNP level.
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory experience.
• Good firewall knowledge.
• Experience working with Azure.
• Broad enterprise infrastructure experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable remaining technically hands-on.
• Full Drivers License.

• Support and maintain Cisco network infrastructure

• LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi technologies, IP telephony systems, firewalls, and systems architecture.
• Hyper-V, Microsoft 365 / Azure, backup Technologies, Active Directory,

• Manage and troubleshoot firewalls and wider network security technologies
• Support backup, recovery and core infrastructure services
• Investigate incidents and complete root-cause analysis

Experis are working with a client in the Education Sector based in Watford who are looking to recruit an experienced Network & Systems Engineer into their established IT team.

This is a broad, hands-on Network Engineer role supporting a \"Cisco Platform\" within a \"Microsoft Landscape\", with a particular emphasis on strong Cisco networking experience.

This is a \"Network Engineer Role\" first and foremost! MS Infrastructure Engineer second!

The successful candidate will support a business-critical infrastructure environment and work across a mixture of on-premise and cloud technologies.
