Job summary

Experis is recruiting a Network & Systems Engineer for a Watford-based, permanent, onsite role. The position covers hands-on infrastructure across networking and Microsoft technologies, with emphasis on Cisco skills.

You will support a business-critical environment spanning on-premise and cloud technologies and work with IT teams and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have around 5+ years' Networking/Infrastructure experience, strong Cisco knowledge, and solid Windows Server/AD experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' recent Network/Infrastructure Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on Cisco networking knowledge, ideally CCNP level.
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory experience.
• Good firewall knowledge.
• Experience working with Azure.
• Broad enterprise infrastructure experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable remaining technically hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Cisco network infrastructure
• Provide 3rd line support across server and network environments
• Support Windows Server and Active Directory technologies
• Support Azure and Microsoft 365 environments
• Manage and troubleshoot firewalls and wider network security technologies
• Support backup, recovery and core infrastructure services
• Investigate incidents and complete root-cause analysis
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, projects and continuous improvement activity
• Work closely with wider IT teams and third-party suppliers where required
