Job summary

Experis - ManpowerGroup in Watford is seeking a Network & Systems Engineer to join a busy IT team. The role is hands-on, covering both networking and Microsoft technologies, with emphasis on Cisco experience and on-premise plus cloud environments.

You will support a business-critical infrastructure, work across Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure and Microsoft 365, and assist with security, backups, and upgrades. The position is on-site in Watford with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Around 5+ years' recent Network / Infrastructure Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on Cisco networking knowledge, ideally at CCNP level.
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory experience.
• Good firewall knowledge.
• Experience working with Azure.
• Broad enterprise infrastructure experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable remaining technically hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Cisco network infrastructure
• Provide 3rd line support across server and network environments
• Support Windows Server and Active Directory technologies
• Support Azure and Microsoft 365 environments
• Manage and troubleshoot firewalls and wider network security technologies
• Support backup, recovery and core infrastructure services
• Investigate incidents and complete root-cause analysis
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, projects and continuous improvement activity
• Work closely with wider IT teams and third-party suppliers where required
