Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Network Project Manager to lead a multi-site retail cabling and comms cabinet programme. You will survey sites, document layouts, and manage internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to keep delivery on plan.

The role suits an engineer-turned-PM with strong cabling and hardware knowledge, capable of handling risks and progressing across multiple sites with some remote coordination.

Qualifications

• Background as a hands-on network/infrastructure engineer who has progressed into project management.
• Strong understanding of structured cabling, network hardware, and comms cabinet installations.
• Confident managing multiple sites, stakeholders and vendors; ITIL/Prince2/Agile familiarity beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site surveys, documentation of existing network layouts, and standards-compliant installations.

• 3-4 days office based in Milton Keynes, 1-2 working from home, limited travel to customer sites (expenses covered when required to travel).

Are you a Project Manager, Infrastructure Project Manager, ex hands-on Network Engineer who has worked your way up into project delivery, looking for an immediately available contract leading a critical multi-site retail infrastructure rollout?

On offer is an end-to-end delivery role where you will take ownership of a programme focused on tidying and re-working structured cabling and installing new communications cabinets across multiple retail locations, coordinating internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver to plan and quality standards.

This well-established organisation provide a range of services to retail stores and banks nationwide. They have offices in Europe, Asia, and America, but operates in almost every country.

In this role you will oversee site surveys and documentation, manage the installation and configuration of comms cabinets and associated hardware, maintain cable data and network diagrams, and proactively manage risks and issues to keep delivery on track.

This role would suit an engineer-to-PM who understands structured cabling and network hardware, stakeholder management, and takes pride in delivering technically detailed projects to a high standard.
