Job summary

Gist Limited is seeking a Network Planner for a 12-month fixed-term contract to oversee transport movements across the M&S and Ocado networks. You will produce efficient transport plans, coordinate with sites and suppliers, and respond rapidly to live operational issues to maintain service levels.

The role requires strong planning skills, familiarity with Excel and IT systems, and the ability to communicate clearly with multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport planning or scheduling.
• Proactive problem solving and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable using IT systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Plan product movements from manufacturers to regional distribution centres to optimise network use.
• Monitor plans to achieve and exceed KPIs.
• Review depot and customer plans to identify efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
• Plan replenishment and return of delivery equipment based on supplier requirements.
• Respond quickly to live customer and operational issues.
• Communicate effectively by telephone and email with customers, sites and suppliers.
• Collaborate with wider transport and logistics operations to deliver best service.
• Think creatively to solve transport and network challenges.
