Job summary

Accenture in Portsmouth is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to ensure stability and integrity of LAN/WAN and wireless networks. You will design, implement and maintain network infrastructure, work within SLA targets, and participate in on-call rotations for an international client base.

The role requires BPSS/SC clearance and a valid UK address history. The position is onsite and demands strong Cisco networking skills and incident management experience.

Qualifications

• BPSS and SC security clearance with 5 years UK address history.
• Experience in information security/technology focused on networking.
• Cisco switching & wireless with ASA firewalls and ISE.
• Cisco certifications CCNP or multiple CCNA across network technologies.
• Proven incident management, service request management and problem solving.
• Experience using ticketing systems and monitoring/management tools.
• Strong communication and ability to meet client requirements.
• Ability to own an issue or task from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute in depth technical activity.
• Provide technical insight and guidance to others.
• Investigate and help resolve issues on customer networks.
• Manage network support cases to enable fast resolution.
• Record all cases in the ticketing tool and close within SLA.
• Share knowledge via central repository for best practice.
• Support ad-hoc projects to develop capabilities of the service centre.
• Contribute to knowledge base communications and team meetings.
• Participate in on-call and onsite shift rota.
