A leading multi-academy trust is seeking a Cluster Network Manager to supervise IT processes across multiple schools. The role involves overseeing an IT team, managing infrastructure, and ensuring effective IT service delivery. Your new company
This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over the last few years. Due to this expansion, they are looking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. The trust is large, with plans for further growth, making this an exciting opportunity to develop your career. You will be based at a secondary school in North Manchester, with responsibilities for three local primary schools, and will be an integral part of the IT team. The IT team is well-established, led by an IT Director who adopts a positive and proactive approach, working collaboratively across all schools and teams.
Your new role
Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster of schools, including one secondary and three primary schools. You will manage the on-site IT team, consisting of two technicians, and be responsible for hardware, software, bespoke technologies, and IT projects. Your role involves responding to IT requests and issues, ensuring quick resolution, conducting monthly reviews, managing performance, and upskilling team members. Additionally, you will oversee the IT budget, ensure compliance with financial plans, and coordinate with third-party suppliers for IT procurement.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have IT management experience, preferably within the education sector, with a strong understanding of systems and processes specific to this environment. A passion for IT and a commitment to delivering high-quality service are essential. Experience in team leadership, training, and developing junior staff is also required.
