This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over the last few years. Due to this expansion, they are looking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. This is a large trust with plans for future growth, making it an exciting time to join, where you will have opportunities for further development. You will be based at a secondary school in North Manchester, with responsibilities for three local primary schools, and will be an integral part of the IT team. The team is well-established, led by an IT Director with a proactive approach, working collaboratively across the trust.
Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster of schools, including one secondary and three primary schools. You will manage the on-site IT team, responsible for hardware, software, bespoke technologies, and IT projects. Your role involves working with two IT technicians to provide efficient IT support to staff and pupils, responding to requests and resolving issues promptly. Operational responsibilities include conducting monthly reviews, managing performance, and developing team members. You will also oversee the IT budget and collaborate with third-party vendors for procurement.
To succeed, you should have IT management experience, preferably within the education sector, with a solid understanding of systems and processes relevant to this field. A passion for IT and a commitment to delivering high-quality service are essential. Experience in team oversight, training, and upskilling staff is also required.
