Due to this expansion, they are seeking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. The trust is large, with plans for further growth, making this an exciting opportunity for professional development. You will be based at a secondary school in North Manchester, with responsibilities for three local primary schools, and will be an integral part of the IT team. The team is well-established, led by an IT Director with a proactive approach, working collaboratively across all schools and teams.

Your new role

Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster, which includes one secondary and three primary schools. You will manage the on-site IT team, responsible for hardware, software, bespoke technologies, and IT projects. Your role involves working with two IT technicians to deliver efficient IT services, responding to support requests, and resolving issues promptly. Operational responsibilities include conducting monthly reviews, managing performance, and developing team members. You will also oversee the IT budget and collaborate with third-party vendors for procurement.

What you'll need to succeed

You should have IT management experience, preferably within the education sector, with strong knowledge of systems and processes relevant to this environment. A passion for IT and a commitment to high service standards are essential. Experience in team leadership, training, and upskilling staff is also required.
