This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over the past few years. Due to this expansion, they are looking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. This is a large multi-academy trust with future growth plans, making it an exciting opportunity for professional development. You will be based at a secondary school in North Manchester, with responsibilities for three local primary schools, and will be an integral part of the IT team. The IT team is well-established, led by an IT Director with a proactive approach, working collaboratively across the trust with all schools and teams.
Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster of schools, which includes one secondary and three primary schools. You will manage the on-site IT team, responsible for hardware, software, bespoke technologies, and the planning and delivery of IT projects. Your role involves working with two IT technicians to provide efficient IT services to staff and pupils, responding to requests and resolving issues promptly. Operational management duties include conducting monthly reviews, managing performance, and developing team members. You will also oversee the IT budget for your schools and collaborate with third-party vendors for procurement of IT equipment.
You should possess IT management experience, preferably within the education sector, with strong knowledge of systems and processes relevant to this field. A passion for IT and a commitment to delivering high-quality service are essential. Experience in team oversight, upskilling, and training junior staff is also required.
