Your new company
This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over recent years. Due to this expansion, they are seeking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. The trust is large with future growth plans, making this an exciting opportunity for professional development. The role is based at a North Manchester secondary school, with responsibilities for three local primary schools, and involves working closely with the IT team, led by a proactive IT Director.
Your new role
Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster of schools, managing the on-site IT team. Responsibilities include hardware, software, bespoke technologies, and the planning and delivery of IT projects. You will work with two IT technicians to ensure efficient IT support for staff and pupils, respond to IT requests and resolve issues promptly. Operational duties include monthly reviews, performance management, and staff development. You will also manage the IT budget and coordinate with third-party suppliers for procurement.
What you'll need to succeed
Applicants should have IT management experience, ideally within the education sector, with a strong understanding of relevant systems and processes. A passion for IT and a commitment to high-quality service are essential. Experience in team oversight, staff training, and development is also required.
