Your new company
This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over the last few years. Due to this expansion, they are looking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. This large trust has plans for further growth, making it an exciting time to join, where you will have opportunities for development as the trust continues to expand.
You will be based at a North Manchester secondary school, with responsibilities for three local primary schools, becoming an integral part of the IT team. The IT team is well-established, led by an IT Director who adopts a positive and proactive approach, working collaboratively across the trust with all schools and teams.
Your new role
Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster, which includes one secondary and three primary schools. You will manage the IT team on-site, responsible for hardware, software, bespoke technologies, and the planning and delivery of IT projects within your schools.
This role involves working with two IT technicians to provide efficient IT support to staff and pupils, responding promptly to requests and resolving issues. Operational responsibilities include conducting monthly reviews, managing performance, and developing staff skills. You will also manage the IT budget, ensure procurement aligns with financial plans, and collaborate with third-party vendors for IT equipment.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you should have IT management experience, preferably within the education sector, with a strong understanding of systems and processes relevant to this environment. A passion for IT and a commitment to delivering high-quality service are essential. Experience in team leadership, staff development, and training is also required.
