This multi-academy trust has experienced significant growth over the last few years. Due to this expansion, they are seeking to appoint a Cluster Network Manager to join their IT team on a permanent basis. This is a large trust with future growth plans, making it an exciting opportunity for professional development. The role is based at a secondary school in North Manchester, with responsibilities also covering three local primary schools. You will be an integral part of the IT team, which is well-established and led by a proactive IT Director who collaborates across all schools and teams.
Reporting to the IT Director, you will oversee all IT infrastructure and services across your cluster, which includes one secondary and three primary schools. You will manage the on-site IT team, responsible for hardware, software, bespoke technologies, and IT projects. Your role involves working with two IT technicians to provide efficient IT support to staff and pupils, resolving IT requests promptly. Operational responsibilities include conducting monthly reviews, managing performance, and developing team members. You will also manage the IT budget and collaborate with third-party vendors for procurement.
Candidates should have IT management experience, preferably within the education sector, with strong knowledge of relevant systems and processes. A passion for IT and a commitment to high-quality service are essential. Experience leading a team, as well as training and upskilling junior staff, is also required.
