About Man Group & Platform Engineering

In 2025, Man Group is undertaking a significant infrastructure project. We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to support this initiative, as well as other projects and BAU activities.

Join us as a Network Engineer in the Infrastructure Engineering department, where you'll be part of a team that builds and operates the platform powering Man Group's hedge funds. We operate a hybrid working model, expecting the individual to work 4 days a week in the office.

What You Can Learn

1. Promote and adhere to best practices across Technology, leveraging strong engineering skills, attention to detail, and industry knowledge to build reliable, high-performance solutions.
2. Build and manage Man Group’s infrastructure, both on-premises and in the cloud, utilizing technologies such as Python.
3. Integrate automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, with Network systems and services.
4. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders in a dynamic environment.

Who We Are Looking For

1. Experience in operating and deploying network infrastructure.
2. Knowledge of routing and network protocols.
3. Experience troubleshooting transport protocols (TCP/UDP).
4. Ideally, experience with overlay networks (EVPN, VXLAN).
5. Familiarity with products such as Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, and Arista Networks.
6. Passion for automating workflows to increase efficiency.
7. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer feedback.
8. A flexible, reliable team player who enjoys collaboration but can also work independently.
