Job summary

Huxley Associates in Chester is seeking a Network Support Engineer on a 12-month contract with a hybrid work pattern. The role focuses on collecting and normalizing network telemetry data via Splunk, supporting routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN environments, and delivering analytics and alerts.

You will collaborate with Network Engineering to interpret device health signals and performance indicators, working onsite three days a week and contributing to financial services projects.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of enterprise network infrastructure, including routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk for data ingestion, searches, dashboards, and alerts.
• Experience working with network telemetry sources such as SNMP, syslog, telemetry streams, APIs, and device metrics.

Responsibilities

• Collect, normalize, and onboard network device telemetry and instrumentation data into Splunk and approved analytics platforms.
• Work with Network Engineering teams to understand device behaviors, health indicators, and performance signals across routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN platforms.
