Job summary

Huxley Associates is seeking a Network Support Engineer for a 12 Month Contract in Chester. The role is hybrid with three days onsite and the rest remote. You will join a financial services client and contribute to network telemetry ingestion, monitoring, and analysis using Splunk and other analytics tools.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Splunk, SNMP, syslog, telemetry streams, and SD-WAN technologies, along with strong routing and switching knowledge across enterprise networks.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of enterprise network infrastructure (routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN).
• Hands-on experience with Splunk for data ingestion, searches, dashboards, and alerts.
• Experience with network telemetry sources such as SNMP, syslog, telemetry streams, APIs, and device metrics.

Responsibilities

• Collect, normalize, and onboard network telemetry data into Splunk and approved analytics platforms.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering to monitor device behavior, health indicators, and performance signals across routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN.

Client within the financial services industry is currently seeking for a Networks support engineer to join the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, normalize, and onboard network device telemetry and instrumentation data (metrics, logs, events, streams) into Splunk and approved analytics platforms.
• Work with Network Engineering teams to understand device behaviors, health indicators, and performance signals across routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN platforms.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of enterprise network infrastructure (routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN).
• Hands-on experience with Splunk for data ingestion, searches, dashboards, and alerts.
• Experience working with network telemetry sources such as SNMP, syslog, telemetry streams, APIs, and device metrics.
