Job summary

Experis is seeking a Network Engineer to join the Network Operations function in Crewe, onsite. The role is a 6-month initial contract with rate £480–£520 per hour, must be PAYE through Umbrella, and active SC clearance with sole UK national status preferred.

The successful candidate will troubleshoot and configure enterprise networks, manage incident diagnostics and resolution, implement changes, and support various projects while expanding skills through training and certifications.

Qualifications

• Proven track record supporting enterprise networks with networking certifications.
• Experience with Cisco ACI SDN across multi-site deployments.
• Experience managing firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco Firepower, ASA).
• Experience with enterprise Wi‑Fi including Cisco WLC.

Your Role

• Troubleshoot and configure enterprise networks.
• Be responsible for Network incident diagnostics/resolution.
• Network change implementation.
• Undertake Project Tasks, supporting both internal and external Project Managers.
• Continue to strengthen and bolster your existing capabilities through a mix of professional training, certifications, and experiences.

Your Skills and Experience

• Proven track record supporting enterprise networks with valid networking technical certifications demonstrating proficiency.
• In-depth experience supporting Cisco ACI software defined networks (multi-site & multi-pod).
• Experienced in supporting Firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA & AnyConnect Remote Access).
• Experience supporting (Enterprise) Wi‑Fi technologies including Cisco WLC or others.
• Troubleshooting and fault-finding routing issues (BGP, OSPF & EIGRP).
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).

Your Security Clearance

SC CLEARED (active) + sole UK national. MOD SC CLEARED PREFERABLE.
