Job summary

Flying Colours Consultancy Limited is seeking a Network Engineer for our Cardiff and Pentwyn warehouse locations, ASAP start on a 3-month contract.

The role involves installing servers, switches, and firewalls; auditing client environments; conducting WiFi surveys; and setting up users, PCs, laptops and printers. Travel within Greater London is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with hardware/server installs is beneficial.
• IT certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are advantageous.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to handle sensitive data with integrity.
• Willingness to travel within Greater London.

Schedule:Monday to Friday, 5 days/week

Contract Length:3 months (with possible extension)

Rate:£110–£120/day

• Auditing client environments.

• Setting up new users, desktop PC’s, laptops and printers.
• Secure disposal of IT equipment which is no longer required.
• Travel within Greater London.

Characteristics/experience needed for a Network Engineer:

• Previous exposure to hardware/server installs would be beneficial.
• Any IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, N+ would be of interest
• A passion for IT and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with clear communication skills.
• Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
• Able to work hours with variable start and finish times.
