Job summary

Ripple is seeking a Network & Infrastructure Engineer to join their UK head office in Wokingham. This hands-on role covers the full IT function, from day-to-day support to major projects as the organisation modernises to a hybrid Azure environment.

You will maintain on-premise and Azure infrastructure, provide senior escalation across 1st-3rd line, and collaborate on documentation, backups and DR testing. Travel to a second UK site is required, with periodic European travel.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as Network & Infrastructure Engineer
• Strong Cisco networking and Azure skills
• Solid Windows Server, Active Directory and MS365 experience
• VMware experience is an advantage
• Certifications welcomed, hands-on experience valued

Responsibilities

• Support, monitor and maintain on-premise and Azure infrastructure, servers and Cisco networks
• Contribute to the review and modernisation of IT systems, including VMware to Azure migration

We're have a new opportunity for a Network & Infrastructure Engineer for a well-established international business with its UK head office in Wokingham.

You'll join a small, highly skilled IT team supporting users across the UK and Europe, and play a key part in a major investment programme, including a move from on-premise infrastructure to an Azure hybrid environment.

This is a hands-on Network and Infrastructure Engineer role covering the full IT function, from support and maintenance through to projects and new technology. It suits someone who enjoys variety and is equally at home on technical projects and day-to-day support.

The role

• Support, monitor and maintain on-premise and Azure infrastructure, servers and Cisco networks
• Contribute to the review and modernisation of IT systems, including VMware to Azure migration
• Act as the senior escalation point across 1st to 3rd line support
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, MS365, Exchange and SharePoint
• Manage backups and disaster recovery, including testing
• Liaise with vendors and suppliers, and produce clear technical documentation

What we're looking for

• Extensive hands-on experience as a Network and Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar infrastructure role
• Strong Cisco networking and Azure skills
• Solid Windows Server, Active Directory and MS365 experience
• VMware experience is an advantage
• Desirable: Fortigate, SCCM, Azure Virtual Desktop, scripting and automation, Linux, ISO 27001 or Cyber Essentials Plus
• Microsoft or Cisco certifications are welcome, but hands-on experience is valued most

• Fully on-site initially, with up to 2 days a week remote after probation
• Monthly travel to a second UK site, with occasional European travel
• 24/7 on-call rota every other week, with an on-call allowance, enhanced pay for call-outs and additional holiday
