Job summary

Wade Macdonald is seeking a newly qualified or finalist ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant to join a fast-growing energy sector group in Newbury. You will manage month-end activities across multiple entities, maintain strong controls, and help implement NetSuite across the group.

You will review reconciliations, revenue recognition, intercompany items and VAT returns, while supporting audits and payroll reconciliations. The role offers £40,000–£50,000 and career development.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified or finalist ACA/ACCA/CIMA accountant with month-end experience.
• Good understanding of UK VAT and Excel.
• Experience with NetSuite and multi-entity accounting is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end activities across multiple entities (journals, accruals, prepayments).
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Review revenue recognition and intercompany transactions.
• Produce financial schedules for group reporting and support VAT returns.
• Coordinate payroll, expenses and corporate card reconciliations; assist audits.
• Act as NetSuite super-user and drive efficiency improvements.
