Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end activities, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Review revenue recognition and intercompany transactions.
• Produce financial schedules to support group reporting.
• Prepare VAT returns and support year-end audits.
• Coordinate payroll, expenses and corporate card reconciliations.
• Maintain financial controls and support compliance requirements.
• Act as NetSuite super-user and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

Financial Accountant (NetSuite)

Location: Newbury, Berkshire (Office-based, 5 days per week)

About the Job

An opportunity for a newly qualified or finalist accountant to take responsibility for month-end accounting across multiple entities. With NetSuite being introduced across the group, you will play an important role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining controls and improving processes.

Duties will include:

• Managing month-end activities, including journals, accruals and prepayments.

About the Successful Applicant

You will be a newly qualified or finalist ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with month-end experience, strong reconciliation skills and a good understanding of UK VAT. Confident with Excel and financial systems, you will be organised, analytical and keen to improve processes. Experience with NetSuite, multi-entity accounting, payroll or audit would be advantageous.
