Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead net-zero retrofit and sustainability projects in the social housing sector. The role involves coordinating clients, contractors and delivery teams to drive retrofit, energy efficiency and decarbonisation initiatives from inception to completion.

Responsibilities include developing programmes, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven PM experience in construction or housing refurbishment.
• Experience in retrofit/decarbonisation programs (PAS 2035, SHDF, ECO) preferred.
• Strong planning, cost control and programme management.
• Knowledge of residential construction methods and compliance.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and leadership.
• Commercial focus on safety, time, and budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of net carbon zero, retrofit and energy efficiency projects within occupied residential properties.
• Manage projects through all phases, from pre-construction and mobilisation through to completion and handover.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, ensuring milestones, budgets and quality standards are achieved.
• Oversee contractor performance and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Manage stakeholder engagement with clients, consultants, residents and delivery partners.
• Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement, sustainability objectives and best practice throughout project delivery.
• Produce regular progress reports and provide accurate forecasting on programme performance.
