Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Luton is seeking a Neonatal Nurse (Band 5) on a permanent contract. This full-time role is 37.5 hours per week with flexible working at Luton & Dunstable Hospital.

You will provide high standard neonatal care, assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, supervise junior staff and work with a multidisciplinary team. Salary £32,073–£39,043 per annum pro rata, with probation and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• RSCN/RNA qualification or equivalent.
• Current NMC registration is required.
• Experience in neonatal/nursery care is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and develop/implement programmes of care.
• Administer oral drugs safely and in line with guidelines.
• Supervise junior qualified and student nurses as required.
• Participate in clinical training and annual appraisal with ward staff.
• Assist in discharge planning and maintain infection control standards.
