Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Sister/Charge Nurse to join the expanding Neonatal Unit in Luton. You will lead nursing teams, ensure high standards of care, support governance activities and work across multi-professional teams to enhance patient safety and service delivery.

You will contribute to policy development, staff supervision and clinical governance, with a focus on achieving excellent outcomes for babies and families within a growing neonatal service.

Qualifications

• Neonatal qualification in specialty (QIS).
• Experience in teaching and assessment.
• Masters degree or working towards.

Responsibilities

• Lead in neonatal governance, quality and patient safety initiatives.
• Support development and implementation of evidence-based policies and procedures.
• Oversee service management, capacity planning and clinical decision making.
• Collaborate with senior teams to monitor and improve neonatal care standards.
