Evolve Staffing Ltd is seeking a Band 6 Neonatal Nurse (QIS) to join major NHS neonatal units across Cheshire. The role requires NMC registration, QIS neonatal qualification, and post-registration NHS experience in Level 2/3 units. You will work across NICU, HDU, and SCBU with MDT colleagues, delivering advanced neonatal care.

• NMC PIN active with no restrictions.
• Post-registration QIS Neonatal Nursing qualification required.

Key Responsibilities

As a Band 6 Neonatal Nurse representing Evolve Staffing Ltd. within a major Cheshire NHS acute hospital, you will provide advanced, specialized, and evidence-based neonatal nursing care across high-acuity units. Your core duties will include:

• Care Planning: Formulating and executing complex, individualized neonatal care plans for premature and critically ill neonates.
• Medication Management: Calculating, preparing, and administering complex neonatal medications, TPN infusions, and IV therapies per NMC guidelines.
• MDT Collaboration: Working alongside consultant neonatologists, pediatric surgeons, advanced neonatal nurse practitioners (ANNPs), and allied health teams.
• Advanced Ventilation: Managing invasive mechanical ventilation, CPAP, High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), and oxygen therapy monitoring.
• Clinical Skills: Executing advanced neonatal clinical skills, including arterial line management, central line care (UVC/UAC/PICC), and blood sampling.
• Family Support: Delivering compassionate, family-integrated care, guiding parents through developmental care, feeding support, and complex unit stays.
• Clinical Leadership: Providing clinical supervision, shift leadership, and mentorship to Band 5 nurses, student nurses, and support staff.
• Emergency Stabilization: Leading and assisting in neonatal resuscitation, clinical stabilization, and emergency transport prep within the unit.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this Band 6 Neonatal Nurse (QIS) application via Evolve Staffing Ltd. in Cheshire, you must demonstrate:

• Valid NMC PIN: Active registration as a Registered Nurse (RGN / RSCN / RN Child / RM) on the NMC register with no restrictions.
• Specialty Qualification: Post-registration Qualified in Specialty (QIS) Neonatal Nursing qualification (e.g., ENB 405 or equivalent).
• Hospital Experience: Minimum 12–18 months post-QIS clinical experience within an NHS acute Level 2 (LNU) or Level 3 (NICU) Neonatal Unit.
• Communication Skills: Meticulous clinical recording capability on electronic patient record systems (EHR/BadgerNet).
• Neonatal Life Support: Valid certification in Neonatal Life Support (NLS) or Advanced Resuscitation of the Newborn Infant (ARNI).
• Compliance & Vetting: Valid UK Right to Work, Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, and complete occupational health clearance.
