Citizen is recruiting for a Neighbourhood Officer in Birmingham with 37 hours per week. The role is permanent, full-time, with mobile working from a Birmingham base.

The post involves tenancy management, handling anti-social behaviour, safeguarding matters, inspections, and collaboration with partners to improve outcomes for diverse communities across the West Midlands.

Qualifications

• Ability to carry out interviews to discuss sensitive customer issues.
• Excellent IT skills and proficient in standard software.
• Ability to develop professional relationships with partners to achieve outcomes.
• Willingness to attend meetings and events outside normal hours.
• Ability to adapt to change and handle conflict with resilience.
• Highly self-motivated with integrity and enthusiasm.
• Current driving licence and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing tenancy management and estate issues.
• Dealing with Anti-Social Behaviour from minor reports to serious cases; multi-agency collaboration.
• Handling sensitive safeguarding matters.
• Carrying out regular block and estate inspections.
• Involvement in management of new build properties for tenancy issues.
• Conducting tenancy reviews for properties within the allocated patch.
• Reviewing service charges and depreciation.

Role: Neighbourhood Officer

Salary: £37,595

Position: Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Location: Birmingham - Mobile working

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing tenancy management and estate issues.
