We have an exciting opportunity to join a team in Camden as a Neighbourhood Housing Officer. This is a full-time, temporary position with an initial contract of 3 months. The postholder will collaborate with service managers and stakeholders to review and improve landlord service processes, ensuring effective and responsive service delivery. The role is hybrid, involving work from home, the office, and onsite in the neighbourhood.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Neighbourhood Officer, Housing Officer, or similar
• Knowledge of housing legislation, policies, and procedures
• Experience providing tenancy, housing, and leasehold advice, with knowledge of best practices and compliance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage workload, and meet deadlines
• Experience delivering effective services to the public
• Ability to provide customer-focused housing management services to the community
• Act as the lead contact for Tenant and Resident Associations in the neighbourhood
• Active engagement in neighbourhoods and Camden offices; WFH available when not on-site
• Support tenants through partnership working and early intervention to manage tenancies successfully
• Conduct property and estate inspections, resolving issues as needed
• Ensure properties and estates comply with legislation and standards
• Collaborate with the community to develop community-based solutions
• Serve legal notices in accordance with policies and procedures
