Job summary

Manpower UK is seeking an experienced Highways NEC4 Supervisor to lead QA, witness inspections and ensure highway works meet contract requirements. You will oversee on-site testing, defect identification and liaison with the Client Project Manager across major highway schemes.

The role requires NEC4 ECC Supervisor accreditation, a civil engineering degree or equivalent, and a proven track record in highway design and construction.

Qualifications

• NEC4 ECC Supervisor Accreditation is required.
• Degree or HND in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience in design and construction of highway infrastructure projects is essential.
• Strong written, verbal and client-facing communication skills.
• Diligent, proactive and detail-oriented.
• Collaborative and practical problem-solving approach.
• Knowledge of Design Manual Road and Bridges and Highway Works specifications.
• Experience performing NEC supervisor duties and NEC contract familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Undertake NEC4 Supervisor duties as per contract (ECC).
• Understand project schemes and raise constructability/safety queries.
• Review Inspection and Test Plans and witness requirements.
• Witness on-site testing and maintain records of results.
• Identify and notify defects per contract.
• Verify workmanship and materials meet contract spec.
• Monitor progress and advise Client Project Manager on risks.
• Submit weekly progress and safety/quality reports.
• Maintain records of site inspections, tests and audits.
• Attend meetings and site inspections as required.
• Contribute to integrated delivery team and overall project delivery.
